Hazardous Characteristics of the Sludge from Treatment of Wastewater Produced by Shale Gas Development and Key Points for its Identification
The wastewater produced by shale gas development usually contains total dissolved solids, organic matter, heavy metals, fats and other substances, and the reasonable treatment and disposal of the sludge generated after the treatment of such wastewater is a major problem in the green development of shale gas.Dewatering sludge from a domestic shale gas extraction wastewater treatment station is selected as the research object, and its main components were analyzed, and the leaching toxicity and toxic substances contents were detected according to the identification standard of hazardous waste. The results showed that the main components of the sludge samples were water, inorganic aluminum salt, inorganic iron salt and chloride. The concentration of heavy metals, toxic organic compounds and toxic inorganic compounds in the sample leaching solution were all within the risk limits. It was concluded that the dehydrated sludge did not have dangerous characteristics and could not be judged as hazardous waste, and the key points that should be paid attention to in the identification of hazardous characteristics of sludge from shale gas mining wastewater treatment were put forward.
