Efficiency Evaluation of Chongqing Carbon Market Based on SBM Model
By building the carbon market efficiency evaluation index system and assessing the market's effectiveness using the super-efficient SBM model,this paper assesses the Chongqing carbon market's efficiency from two angles:overall and district and county.It also determines the market's comprehensive efficiency,pure technical efficiency,and scale efficiency as well as each district and county's participation in the carbon market.The findings indicate that while the scale efficiency can achieve efficiency in fewer years,the overall comprehensive efficiency and pure technical efficiency of the Chongqing carbon market can essentially accomplish efficiency.The process by which Chongqing districts and counties engage in the trading of the Chongqing carbon market still has a great deal of room for efficiency improvement.Additionally,there is a significant variation in the comprehensive,pure technical,and scale efficiency of the various districts and counties involved in the carbon market,indicating some degree of temporal volatility.Finally,policy recommendations for the further development of Chongqing's carbon market were proposed based on the research findings.
