Study on Spatiotemporal Changes of Vegetation Coverage and Terrain Differentiation Characteristics in Chengdu-Chongqing Twin Cities Economic Circle from 2000 to 2023 Based on MODIS Pixel Scale
In order to study the spatiotemporal changes of vegetation coverage and topographic differentiation characteristics in the Chengdu-Chongqing Twin Cities Economic Zone, based on MODIS-NDVI data, the pixel binary model,Theil-Sen Median trend analysis and Mann-Kendal significance test method were used to calculate the fractional vegetation coverage(FVC)of the Chengdu-Chongqing Twin Cities Economic Zone from 2000 to 2023 and summarize its changing rules. The results show that:(1)the study area is mainly characterized by high vegetation coverage in space, with an area of 176,857.44 km2,accounting for 95.69%of the total area;(2)the vegetation coverage is mainly in the improved area from 2000 to 2023,with an area of 101,880.56 km2,accounting for 55.12%of the total area, and the degraded area is 82,948.56 km2,accounting for 44.88%of the total area;(3)the topographic factors have a significant impact on the spatial distribution of vegetation coverage in the study area. The vegetation coverage in the study area increases first and then decreases with the increase of altitude;the vegetation coverage increases with the increase of slope;the vegetation coverage shows that the vegetation coverage of the shady slope is greater than the vegetation coverage of the semi-sunny slope, the vegetation coverage of the semi-shady slope is greater than the vegetation coverage of the sunny slope.
