In order to study the differences of footwear impressions on objects with different degrees of hardness and softness,the full length,palm width and heel width of footwear impressions on objects with different degrees of hardness and softness were collected by ink imprinting,and the results were inputted into SPSS data processing software for statistical analysis to explore the differences be-tween the impressions and their reflective patterns.Results show that for the footwear impressions on objects with different degrees of hardness and softness,the full length,palm width and heel width of the impressions vary with the degree of hardness and softness of the objects,and the magnitude of the variation is related to the degree of hardness and softness of the objects.There is a significant correla-tion between them:the more plastic and elastic the object is,the more obvious the differences between the impressions.This aims at pro-viding a reference for criminal technicians to correctly produce impressions samples and more scientifically and reasonably explain the differences in the identification of footwear impressions.
