Study and Application of Point Cloud-based Finished Product Inspection and Virtual Pre-assembly Technology for Precast Segmental Beams
The strategy of building China's transportation strength accelerates the development of bridge construction, and precast segmental beams are becoming more mature as a new bridge construction technology. The commonly used short-line method for the pre-assembly and installation of segmental beams would cause the accumulation of small errors which affects the shape of the bridge.Based on the concrete segmental beam of the Huangmaohai Sea-crossing Channel, this paper followed the concept of"theoretical+practice"to systematically study the complete set of solutions for the point cloud-based finished product inspection and virtual pre-assembly for the precast segmental beam, that is,using the 3D laser scanner to quickly obtain the contour and size of the segmental beam. The Random Sample Consensus(RANSAC)was used to automatically fit the boundary and extract the corner point position of each slice,to realize the finished product inspection, and the Procrustes Analysis(PA)and Iterative Closest Point(ICP)were combined to study the virtual pre-assembly technology. The results indicated that the point cloud technology could accurately and efficiently inspect the appearance and size of the finished segmental beams, and the virtual pre-assembly technology could effectively control the matching error of the adjacent segmentation of segmental beams, ensure the shape of the bridge, and improve the quality of the precast segmental beams.
