Study on Distribution Characteristics of Geological Disasters on Ordinary National and Provincial Highways in Shanxi Province
This paper aims to conduct investigations and evaluations on geological disaster situations on ordinary national and provincial highways in Shanxi Province to provide scientific data that can support the decision-making on road maintenance. The disaster risk points are quantitatively evaluated using the CRI index system method, and the distribution characteristics of geological disasters are generalized and analyzed by data vectorization. The results show that there are total 2 801 existing geological disasters on ordinary national and provincial highways in Shanxi Province, with the main types of collapse and subsidence, followed by water damage and landslides, and fewer mudslides. The risk is more frequent at level 3(average),with 11%of risks at level 1(significant)and level 2(larger).Geological disasters are mainly located in the Lüliang Mountains,Taihang Mountains, and Zhongtiao Mountains, with Linfen,Changzhi,Jinzhong,Yangquan, and Yuncheng being more seriously affected, and the key routes include Sonid Left Banner-Beihai Highway(G209),Hohhot-Beihai Highway(G241),etc.The above conclusions provide an important scientific basis for the highway maintenance department and help develop more effective responding strategies and preventive measures.
