Design and Construction Schemes of Ensuring Traffic for Structures and Utilities within Right-of-way of Highways
When the newly built roads cross the existing roads, how to ensure the traffic for structures and utilities within the right-of-way of highways is directly related to the construction schemes. The commonly used construction schemes are to close existing roads and build ensuring-traffic auxiliary lanes. However closing existing roads would affect the traffic, while building auxiliary lanes would add additional construction and demolition works, resulting in considerable waste and environmental pollution.Besides, affected by the land constraints and surrounding buildings,it is difficult to build an ensuring-traffic auxiliary lane.In this paper, based on an engineering practice,a construction scheme that does not block access to existing roads is discussed, which can solve various problems of conventional construction methods.
