Repair and Transformation Design of Prestressed Concrete Continuous Box Girder Bridge
After years of operation, diseases such as cracking on the web plate of the box girder and longitudinal and transverse cracks of the top and bottom plates often occur in large-span prestressed concrete continuous box girder bridges. In this paper, taking a continuous box girder bridge with a main span of 60 m as the example, the disease condition and probable causes were introduced.Various repair and transformation designs were conducted, and a targeting reinforcement plan of thickening the web plate and adding prestressed steel tendons was proposed to solve problems of cracking on the web plate and insufficient rigidness of the structure. The reinforcement plan for this bridge can provide a reference for the reinforcement design of similar bridges.
