Effect of Active Light-emitting Marking in Expressway Tunnels Based on Driving Simulation Experiments
As technology advances, active light-emitting markings have emerged, however,it is not entirely clear what effect they will have on drivers in various types of highway high-risk scenarios with different parameter settings.Using the driving simulator, choosing night driving as a typical scenario, comparative experiments and data analysis of illuminated and non-illuminated tunnels were conducted.Considering two perspectives of the lane-keeping ability and pupil area indicator under different modes of traffic-marking visual induction environments, this paper investigated the optimum parameter of the active light-emitting marking in expressway tunnels. The results showed that the lightening effect of active light-emitting markings was obvious on the tunnel section at night, and the medium frequency flashing type dotted line marking had the optimum effect, which is of great significance to the promotion of the traffic safety of the tunnel section.
