Impact of Modifiers on Properties of Gneiss Asphalt Mixtures
To study the impact of modifiers on the properties of the acidic aggregate asphalt mixtures, based on the surface energy theory, this paper used the orthogonal method to measure the contact angle and other parameters of the modified asphalt and different reagents, calculate the surface energy, and analyze the influence of modifiers on the adhesion properties. At the same time, the rutting test and low-temperature bending test were performed on the asphalt mixture to evaluate the impact of different modifiers on the road performance of the asphalt mixture. The results showed that the rubber powder and plasticized rubber powder could reduce the contact angle between modified asphalt and different reagents and increase the surface energy and nonpolar dispersion component. For the rutting resistance of the asphalt mixture, the rubber powder had a better improvement effect than that of plasticized rubber powder;for the low-temperature cracking resistance of the asphalt mixture, the plasticized rubber powder had a better improvement effect than that of rubber powder.
