Estimation Method of Dielectric Constant of Highway Structural Layers Based on CRIM Model
The expressway structural layer is horizontally stratified and laid with complex paving materials, and the dielectric properties are different between each structural layer, resulting in difficulties in estimating the dielectric constant of the structural layer and inaccurate location of diseases. To solve this problem,an estimation method of the dielectric constant of highway structural layers based on CRIM model is proposed. It can estimate and analyze the dielectric constant of highway structural layers with the commonly used Brown model,Looyenga model, and CRIM model, demonstrating the applicability of CRIM model to highway-stratified paving materials. The existing proportioning model analysis effectively verified that different highway structural layers have different dielectric constant values. The results showed that compared with the traditional method of selecting a single empirical dielectric constant value to estimate the layer depth, the proposed method could effectively estimate the dielectric constants between different highway structural layers.Especially in the wet aquifer, the error in the estimated values of the dielectric constant of the surface and base layers using the proposed method was reduced by 39.77%and 72.38%,respectively,compared with the error in the fixed empirical calculation method.
