A Study on the Relationship between Mathematics Inverse Quotient and Mathematical Performance of Second-Grade Junior High School Students——The Mediating Role of Mathematical Anxiety
Mathematical inverse quotient and mathematical anxiety are important non-intellectual factors affecting students'mathematical learning.A self-compiled mathematical inverse quotient scale and mathematical anxiety scale were used to investigate the impact and mechanism of mathematical inverse quotient on second-grade students'mathematics academic achievement. The results show that:(1)the mathematics inverse quotient of the second-grade of junior high school students is at an above-average level, the degree of mathematical anxiety is average, and there is a significant difference between boys and girls in mathematics inverse quotient and mathematics anxiety;(2)Mathematical inverse quotient, mathematics academic achievement, and mathematical anxiety are correlated.Among them, mathematical inverse quotient significantly and positively predicts mathematics academic achievement, and mathematical anxiety significantly and negatively predicts mathematics academic achievement and mathematical inverse quotient.(3)Mathematical anxiety plays a partial mediating role between mathematical inverse quotient and mathematics academic achievement, and the mediating effect contributes 34.35%to the total effect.
