Analysis on Teaching Design of Mathematics Unit Based on Big Ideas System——Taking the Junior High School Function as an Example
"Big ideas"and"unit teaching"are the two key words to realize the core competencies of the discipline.Big ideas serve as a bridge from knowledge to competency,emphasizing the understanding of the meaning and independent transfer of knowledge and helping students to form a good cognitive structure and way of thinking.In the teaching design of the mathematics unit under the big ideas system,it pays attention to the integrity of the unit,the structure of the unit and the competency of the unit,making the hierarchy of the mathematics unit clearer and the core of the mathematical unit design clearer,which is an important way to develop students'core competency.The structure elements mainly include:naming unit themes,clarifying large concept groups,identifying basic issues,formulating unit goals,clarifying formation paths,designing learning activities,etc.The teaching design of junior high school function units under the integration of big ideas provides an exploratory idea for the implementation of big ideas in competency-based unit teaching.
