The Cutting-Edge Hotspots and Future Outlook of International Mathematics Education Research in the Era of Digital Intelligence——A Review Based on ICME-15 Invited Lectures
The 15th International Congress on Mathematics Education(ICME-15)was held from July 7 to 14,2024 in Sydney,Australia.The Congress Invited Lectures were nominated and selected by the International Procedure Committee(IPC),and each invited lecture lasted 60 minutes.Based on the invited lectures of ICME-15,the cutting-edge hotspots and future development trends of international mathematics education research in the era of digital intelligence were analyzed.Six cutting-edge hot issues are outlined:Innovation in mathematics teaching and learning styles,assessment in mathematics education,mathematics teacher education and professional development,students'mathematical literacy and competence,interdisciplinary communication in mathematics education and science education,and improvement of research methods in mathematics education.The development trend of mathematics education and teaching in the age of digital intelligence is mainly reflected in four aspects:Evidence-based,intelligent,ubiquitous,and ethical.Evidence-based focuses on evidence-based research in mathematics education,intelligence focuses on the intelligent development of the teaching ecosystem,ubiquity demonstrates the extensive use of digital intelligent technology in mathematics education,and ethics emphasizes the ethical principles that must be taken into account when applying digital intelligent technology.
