Research on Pre-service Mathematics Teacher Education in China in the Past Two Decades:Evolution,Hot Spots and Prospects
Pre-service mathematics teachers are the backbone of the future teaching force in primary and secondary schools,and are an important guarantee for the modernization of education in the new era.An in-depth investigation of the development trend and hot topics of mathematics teacher education research in China in the past two decades shows that the evolution of mathematics teacher education research has been divided into three phases:initial rise,steady development and gradual deepening.The hot topics of research include focusing on knowledge:exploring mathematics subject knowledge and subject teaching knowledge;focusing on ability:exploring teaching practice ability and teachers'professional development;and focusing on teaching:exploring curriculum and teaching system and mathematics teaching mode.The research content is rich,the perspective is diversified,the methods are diverse,and the research horizons are significantly influenced by the development of the times and policy guidelines.In the future,China's mathematics teacher education research should be based on research hotspots and deepen the exploration of cutting-edge issues;focus on professional development and promote the construction of the curriculum system;strengthen the research methodology and optimize the talent training mode.
