Genetic Variations of Seedling Growth Traits among Full-sib Families of Pinus tabuleaformis
The seedlings of 47Pinus tabulaeforrnis carr full-sib families were measured and analyzed in terms of their one-year-old seedling height, ground diameter, cotyledons length, true leaf length, hypocotyls height and two-years-old seedlings height and ground diameter. The results showed that there existed significant var- iation among families in one-year-old seedling character, but in the same family there is no significant differ- ence. For one-year-old seedlings, its height is closely related to ground diameter; true leaf length is related both to seedling height and ground diameter and significant relationship between hypocotyls height and seed- ling height existed too. The two-years-old seedlings height is closely related to ground diameter too. For the relationship in different years, the seedling heights in different years are related closely but the ground diame- ters in different years had no significant relationship. Family heritability of all character is higher than single tree heritability. Family and single tree heritability in characters had a same order as seedling height 〉true leaf length 〉hypocotyls height〉ground diameter〉cotyledons length.
