It's a new cultivation mode for nut and timber uses in the development of walnut industry,which originated from the cultivation of black walnut in California.It can produce high-quality wood while obtaining nuts,and achieves the sustainability of economic benefits.The key to develop the new cultivation mode is the stock varieties of walnut.This paper introduced the research progress and de-velopment status of walnut stock varieties at home and abroad,and put forward some suggestions on developing of the new mode in Shaanxi province.
