China is rich in ecological resources,species resources and diversified landscape,which pro-vides an important foundation for the development of forestry industry.Since 1949,China's forestry industry has made great achievements.Based on the analysis of 14 043 papers of domestic forestry in-dustry from 1949 to 2022,the development of China's forestry industry was analyzed and four stages of forestry industry development were summarized as:(1)1949-1980,economic priority;(2)1981-1997,equal attention to economy and ecology;(3)1998-2010,ecological priority;(4)2011-present,the construction of ecological civilization.The research context and progress of forestry in-dustry development were presented by using VOSviewer,Endnote and other tools.The conclusions and enlightenment are as follows:(1)the ecological industry is rising,and the ecological products and economic products will gradually achieve coordinated development;(2)the research on forestry indus-try has been deepened,and the research focus has become more comprehensive and decentralized;(3)a good environment for production,study and research needs to be constructed to realize effective sup-port for scientific research practice.
