Yulin is one of the natural distribution areas of Acer truncatum.However,the geographical and climatic conditions vary across its counties and districts.In this paper,the frost-free period,av-erage minimum temperature in January,and active accumulated temperature above 10℃ are adopted as the main indicators for delineating the planting regions of Acer truncatum.Based on these indicators,the counties and districts of Yulin are divided into suitable and unsuitable planting areas for Acer trun-catum.Furthermore,with consideration of precipitation and geographical features in each county and district,the suitable planting areas are further subdivided into optimal and secondary optimal planting regions.The research findings provide important theoretical support and production guidance for large-scale cultivation of Acer truncatum in the sandy areas of Yulin.
