Impact of Major Plant-sourced Pollutants from Garden Plants in Xi'an and their Prevention and Control Strategies
With the increasing demand for urban landscaping and the aging of planted trees,plant-sourced pollutants such as pollen, flying hairs, and flying catkins have become increasingly severe,se-riously affecting urban development, production and life,as well as the physical and mental health of residents. This paper investigates the impact of major botanical origin pollutants from garden plants in Xi'an,compiles statistics on their pollution types and levels, and summarizes the basic characteristics and influencing factors of botanical origin pollutants, including their dispersion patterns and prevention methods, based on relevant research materials.By analyzing the underlying causes of existing prob-lems,feasible prevention and control strategies are proposed in five aspects:promoting technology through assessment, reducing pollution through plant configuration, managing green spaces for purifi-cation,predicting and mitigating hazards, and integrating cultural elements into landscape design.
