Under the guidance of the micro-agriculture concept, green pesticide,as a typical green production technology,is an important measure to promote the high-quality development of green agriculture through its application and promotion. The infor-mation capital owned by farmers is an important way to promote the green and high-quality development of agriculture.Based on SOR model, behavioral economics and information science theories, this article explored the impact mechanism of information capital on the farmers'use of pollution-free pesticides. The information acquisition ability, quality, channels, and the perception of information effects all have a positive impact on the transformation of pollution-free pesticide application behavior, and can pro-mote the farmers'use of pollution-free pesticides by improving the their perception and the easy use of technology.However,so-cial norms weaken the positive impact of perceived information effects on the deviation between the willingness and behavior of pollution-free pesticide application, especially in low social norm groups. This study provides insights for farmers to adopt and promote green agricultural production technologies in the modernization of agriculture and rural areas. On the one hand, the gov-ernment should enhance the information capital level of farmers and establish and improve agricultural information dissemination networks; On the other hand,we should increase the promotion of green pesticide technology and services, improve the market competitiveness of agricultural products, promote the coordinated development of various links in the agricultural industry chain, increase agricultural added value, and provide economic incentives for farmers.
