On the Transcendence of the"North Paradox"in Chinese Professional Football:Based on Checks and Balances of Power
The dilemma of the"North Paradox"in Chinese professional football is that the government and its agents have added institutional arrangements that are conducive to maximizing their own interests in the institu-tional design process, and have divided and deprived of the rights that should belong to the professional football market.By interpreting the representation of the"North Paradox"in Chinese professional football, and exploring its origin, the study believes that the focus of transcending the"North Paradox"should be put to promote the government's public interest over private interest, and at the same time find powers to supervise and restrict gov-ernment behavior to further limit the government's"self-interested"behavior.From the perspective of checks and balances of power, this paper proposes that by cultivating social powers and integrating individuals into a whole group, the government should be forced to innovate by the society's demand for high-quality football games, while the market promotes government reform and decentralization through good autonomy, focusing on institu-tional value orientation, institutional design and institutional implementation, with the optimal combination of in-stitutional elements promoting the interests of all parties in professional football from cooperation and identification to dynamic checks and balances,so as so resolve the"North Paradox"dilemma in Chinese professional football in theory and practice.
