Through the methods of literature review,comprehensive analysis,from the five characteristics of Chinese modernization,this paper analyzes the internal logic of the development of national traditional sports:huge population creating new opportunities,the top-level design scientific causing new track,value orientation diversification enriching the new connotation,structure correlation broadening new space and mutual benefit and win-win internationalization with new demand.From the aspects of mass participation,resource integration,in-heritance and popularization,and cultural communication,the reality constraints of the development of traditional sports are analyzed.And it is recommended to match the needs of the masses,and focus on healthy develop-ment;give full play to the institutional advantages,and promote the shared development;return to the original ecological space,and practice the green development;awaken the cultural memory,and expand the path choices of open development,in order to provide value references and practical experience for the modernization develop-ment of national traditional sports.
