To promote the sustainable development of the intangible cultural heritage of martial arts,the re-search and construction of the inheritance field are indispensable.Combining the theory of the"inheritance field",the paper discusses the role of the inheritance field on the cultural identity of practitioners and the living transmission of intangible cultural heritage in sports through the methods of field survey and literature review.The study concludes that through the two transmission strategies of"embodied cognition"and"cross-media nar-rative",the inheritance field can shape the image of the new generation of practitioners and convey the cultural connotation of martial arts,which is conducive to the sustainable development of the intangible cultural heritage of martial arts.
