Abstract
This paper provides an overview of the current status of the insect food industry,including its feasibility,history,types and processing methods.It points out the challenges faced by the industry,such as public acceptance,policy support,research and science popularization,commercial operation and farming techniques,and suggests measures to promote the development of the industry through changing concepts,enriching product varieties,enhancing processing and development,innovating packaging and marketing,expanding the scale of research and farming,and upgrading governmental and societal support to promote the development of the industry.Finally,it makes an outlook for the future.
