A Framework for Analyzing the Livelihood Restoration of Rural Households Relocated from Inhospitable Areas:Based on the Perspective of Social-Ecological System Theory
The livelihood restoration of relocated farmers in poverty alleviation is a series of activities such as livelihood input and output in their livelihood system after relocation, aiming to ensuring that their livelihood level is not lowered down and can be con-tinuously improved.Social-ecological system is a complex system with the ability to recover and adapt, and resilience is one of its basic attributes.Combining the restoration thinking of social-ecological systems with sustainable livelihood analysis can deepen the understanding of the dynamics of farmers'livelihood systems in special situations. Therefore, integrating the restoration thinking of the social ecological system into the sustainable livelihood analysis framework, and embedding the resilience link into the frame-work,this paper constructed a comprehensive analysis framework for the livelihood restoration of relocated farmers in poverty allevi-ation.The framework consists of components such as vulnerability background, livelihood capital, livelihood resilience, resettlement site structure and process transformation, livelihood restoration strategies, and livelihood restoration effectiveness.
