Dredging and Sediment Treatment Technology of Pingshan River
Due to the long-term siltation and pollution in the old channel of Pingshan River in Shenzhen,various pollutants have ex-ceeded standards,resulting in the fifth category of inferior water quality.It not only contaminates the surrounding soil and ground-water,but also poses toxic effects on aquatic organisms,severely impacting the urban landscape.Therefore,this experiment adopts an eco-dredging technique combining physical and chemical methods,along with environmentally friendly treatment of bottom sedi-ment.The technical essentials of eco-dredging were analyzed in detail,and the sediment treatment results were comprehensively evaluated using the Nemero pollution index method.The results show that heavy metal ions such as arsenic,copper,and chromium in the sediment are effectively removed,reducing the pollution index of the treated sediment to a clean and safe level.Consequent-ly,it effectively prevents secondary pollution caused by sediment disposal,enhances the flood control capacity of the river channel,and addresses the difficulty of sediment disposal,achieving the objectives of reducing,stabilizing,and resource utilization of pollut-ants.This is of significant importance for enhancing the ecological function of rivers and lakes.
