Rural Environmental Quality Monitoring in Enshi Prefecture of Hubei Province During the 13th Five-Year Plan Period
During the"13th Five-Year Plan"period,3 villages were selected from the 7 counties in Enshi Prefecture every year to carry out dynamic monitoring of environmental air quality, surface water and drinking water source water according to the corre-sponding technical specifications. The results show that the average annual concentration of sulfur dioxide(SO2),nitrogen dioxide(NO2)and fine particulate matter(PM10)in the monitored villages are 5~25 μg/m3,6~28 μg/m3,31~84 μg/m3,respectively.The am-bient air quality condition is generally good.According to the secondary standard limits in the Ambient Air Quality Standard(GB 3095-2012),the overall compliance ratio reaches 100%,rural surface water and drinking water source water are of good water quality.According to the class standard limits in table 1 of Surface Water Environmental Quality Standard(GB 3838-2002),the overall water quality compliance rate is 100%.The overall ecological environment in rural areas is good, but there are still weak links such as the weak monitoring force of rural ecological environment and the backward monitoring network construction. The ru-ral ecological environment quality monitoring program needs to be further improved. It is suggested to further enhance the rural en-vironmental monitoring capacity, speed up the construction of environmental monitoring network, and provide more powerful techni-cal support for the rural ecological environment protection in Enshi Prefecture.
