Bibliometric analysis of cell therapy for rheumatoid arthritis
Objective To analyze the knowledge structure, the current research status, and the hot trend of the literature related to cell therapy for rheumatoid arthritis(RA)by bibliometrics. Methods The Web of Science Core Collection(WoSCC)database was used to retrieve RA-related literature on cell therapy from 2003 to 2022,and VOSviewers,CiteSpace, and the R package"bi-bliometrix"(version 3.2.1)(https://www.bibliometrix.org)were used to perform the bibliometric analysis. Results A total of 8 822 papers were included, with 41 982 authors from 107 countries or regions and 7 556 institutions.Cell therapy researches related to RA had gradually developed, and Arthritis Res Ther was the most popular journal in this field. The main research institutions included University of Amsterdam,Harvard University,Karolinska Institute, and Stanford University. The United States and China were high-yield countries, and multiple countries had formed international cooperation networks.Tak PP was the author with the highest quantity of published articles, while Emery P had the highest citations.Cell therapy researches in RA-related literature mainly focused on five main directions:RA,immunology, tumor necrosis factor alpha antagonists, therapy, and monoclonal antibodies. Conclusion The application of cell therapy for RA has become an important research field attracting multidisciplinary attention.China and the United States are the main countries conducting the researches related to cell therapy and RA.The relevant research is currently in the stage of basic development gradually moving towards clinical development.
