百年华人移民史中"传帮带"模式依托宗亲会、同乡会、堂会等民间共同体.华商"桥头堡"即为地缘或亲缘的共同体,同乡同宗是招募赴海外务工人员的优先条件.海外华文小说的移民史书写基于扎实史料,呈现民间共同体的形成动因、结构特点及发展历程,突出其亲缘、地缘、神缘的特性.在多形态的民间共同体中,堂会具有特殊性,它打破同族和联族的限制,向全体华人开放.作品刻画堂会对华裔"在地化"进程的介入,并再现它在20世纪20-40年代以"江湖"力量践行家国信仰.唐人街则是更宽泛的华人生活共同体,小说将其定位于华人对故乡的一种重塑,同时揭示其对华裔女性移民的事实压制,以及对华洋融合的直接助益.21世纪以来,移民史呈现新发展趋势,民间共同体从单纯的命运共同体转型为中华文化共同体是海外华文创作应该思考的新论题.
Abstract
In the history of Chinese immigrants in the past century,the mode of"passing on"relies on folk communities such as clansmen associations,hometown associations,and"Tang Hui"(mafia).The"bridgehead"of Chinese businessmen is the community based on geographical relationships or kinship,and the same hometown and the same clan are the prior conditions to recruit overseas workers.Based on solid historical materials,the history of migration in overseas Chinese novels presents the motives for the formation,structural characteristics and development of folk communities,highlighting the characteristics of their kinship,geomantic and divine origins.Among the many forms of folk communities,"Tang Hui"is special for it breaks the limitations of the same clan or allied clans and opens up to all Chinese people.The work depicts the involvement of"Tang Hui"in the process of"localization"of the ethnic Chinese and recreates its practice of family and national beliefs in the 1920s and 1940s through the power of the folk.Chinatown is a broader community of Chinese life,and the novels see it as a kind of remodeling of the hometown by Chinese people,and reveal its factual suppression of Chinese female immigrants,as well as its immediate contribution to the integration of Chinese and foreigners.In the 21st century,the history of immigrants has shown a new trend of development,and the transformation of the folk community from the pure community of destiny to the community of Chinese culture is the new thesis that overseas Chinese novels should think about.
