Chronic heart failure is a chronic disease that occurs on the basis of existing heart disease,characterized by a decrease in the heart's pumping ability,insufficient cardiac output,and difficulty in meeting the body's metabolic needs.The main clinical symptoms are chest tightness,shortness of breath,and limb edema.Traditional Chinese Medicine believes that the basic pathogenesis of chronic heart failure is based on the deficiency of the root and the excess of the target.The deficiency of heart Qi and Yang mainly affects the internal organs and even other organs,thereby exacerbating the symptoms of heart failure.The application of holistic approach in traditional Chinese medicine has achieved good therapeutic effects in the clinical treatment of chronic heart failure,and has become an indispensable force in the current treatment of chronic heart failure.The article elaborates on the etiology,pathogenesis,treatment principles,and methods of traditional Chinese medicine for chronic heart failure based on classics.It briefly summarizes the methods of traditional Chinese medicine for treating chronic heart failure in recent years,and determines the treatment concept of focusing on nourishing the heart Yang while also considering the elimination of evil.It emphasizes the regulation of essence,Qi,blood,and overall Qi,ultimately treating and preventing the occurrence of chronic heart failure fundamentally.
