Objective To evaluate the efficacy and toxicity of oxaliplatin combined with S-l capsule in the treatment of advanced gastric cancer patients. Methods 35 patients with advanced gastric cancer were treated with chemotherapy consisting of S-l capsule 80 mg/m2 twice daily for 14 days and intravenously oxaliplatin 130 mg /m2 in clays 1, administered every 21 clays for at least 2 cycles. Efficacy and toxicities were evaluated according to the RECIST1. 1 standard. Results Of the 35 patients, there were 16 ( 45. 7% ) partial remission ( PR ),11( 31.4% ) stable disease ( SD ),and 8( 22. 9% ) progression disease ( PD ). The major toxicities included leucopenia, nausea, vomiting and neurosensory abnormity. Conclusion Oxaliplatin combined with S1 capsule have good efficacy with accepted toxicities in treating patients with advanced gastric cancer.
