Correlation Between the Expression of TIPE2 and Lasp1 Protein and Clinicopathological Features and Prognosis in Thyroid Carcinoma
Objective To explore human tumor necrosis factor in thyroid cancer tissue α The correlation between the ex-pression of inducible protein 8 like molecule 2(TIPE2),LIM,and SH3 domain protein 1(LASP1)and their clinical pathological characteristics and prognosis.Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 81 patients with thyroid cancer.All patients underwent surgical treatment.After removing pathological specimens during the surgery,normal tissue at a dis-tance of more than 2cm from the tumor was removed as a paracancerous specimen,which was promptly sent for examination after the surgery.Immunohistochemical method was used to detect the expression of TIPE2 and LASP1,and the differences in the ex-pression of T1PE2 and LASP1 were compared between tumor specimens and adjacent specimens;Compare the correlation between the expression of TIPE2 and LASP1 with clinical and pathological features,as well as their correlation with prognosis.Results The positive expression rate of TIPE2 in tumor samples was lower than that in adjacent cancer samples,while the positive expres-sion rate of LASP1 was higher than that in adjacent cancer samples,with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05);The pro-portion of patients with positive TIPE2 expression in stages Ⅰ to Ⅱ,no lymph node metastasis,and tumor diameter<2 cm was higher in the positive group than in the negative group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);The proportion of stage Ⅲ~Ⅳ,lymph node metastasis,and tumor diameter ≥2 cm in the positive group of LASP1 expression was higher than that in the negative group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);During a 3-year follow-up,31 out of 81 pa-tients experienced recurrence and metastasis,with a poor prognosis rate of 38.27%(31/81);5 cases(17.24%)had poor prog-nosis in the TIPE2 positive group,while 26 cases(50.00%)had poor prognosis in the negative group;The poor prognosis rate of the TIPE2 positive group is lower than that of the negative group,and the difference is statistically significant(x2=8.457,P=0.004);The poor prognosis rate in the positive group of LASP1 expression(45.00%)was higher than that in the negative group(19.05%),and the difference was statistically significant(X2=4.435,P=0.035).Conclusion The positive expression rate of TIPE2 in thyroid cancer tissue is low,while the positive expression of LASP1 is high.The expression of TIPE2 and LASP1 is closely related to tumor stage,lymph node metastasis,and tumor diameter.Patients with low expression of TIPE2 and high expres-sion of LASP1 have poor prognosis.
