Relationship Between Serum LDH,VEGF-C and Clinicopathologic Features and Prognosis of Patients with Gastric Cancer
Objective To investigate the relationship between serum LDH,VEGF-C and clinicopathologic features and prognosis of patients with gastric cancer. Methods 68 patients with gastric cancer were collected.Serum LDH and VEGF-C lev-els were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.Serum LDH and VEGF-C levels of the 2 groups were statistically ana-lyzed,and the relationship between serum LDH and VEGF-C levels and clinicopathologic features of gastric cancer was analyzed,as well as univariate and multivariate prognostic factors affecting patients with gastric cancer. Results Serum LDH and VEGF-C levels were correlated with gastric cancer differentiation degree,TNM stage, lymph node metastasis and tumor diameter, but were not correlated with gender or age.Univariate analysis showed that the degree of tumor differentiation,TNM stage, lymph node me-tastasis,LDH and VEGF-C level were all factors influencing the poor prognosis of gastric cancer patients(P<0.05).Multivariate analysis showed that low differentiation,TNM stage ⅲ-ⅳ,lymph node metastasis,LDH and VEGF-C levels were all factors influ-encing poor prognosis in gastric cancer patients(P<0.05).Serum LDH combined with VEGF-C has high diagnostic value for gastric cancer, with AUC of 0.877,95%CI of 0.783~0.925,sensitivity of 80.89%and specificity of 95.18%.Conclusion Serum LDH and VEGF-C levels in patients with gastric cancer are high, which are related to the differentiation degree of gastric cancer,TNM stage, lymph node metastasis and tumor diameter, and are independent risk factors affecting the prognosis of pa-tients.The prognosis of patients can be predicted clinically by monitoring LDH and VEGF-C levels.
