Expression and Clinical Significance of MMP-2,MLCK,VEGF,and IGF-2 in Uterine Fibroid Tissue
Objective To analyze the expression and clinical significance of matrix metalloproteinase-2(MMP-2),myo-sin light chain kinase(MLCK),vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF),and insulin-like growth factor-2(IGF-2)in uterine fi-broids.Methods 76 patients with uterine fibroids were selected and their uterine fibroid tissue and normal uterine tissue were collected. The expression of MMP-2,MLCK,VEGF,and IGF-2 was measured using immunohistochemistry, and the positive rates of the two were statistically compared. Results The positive expression rates of MMP-2,MLCK,VEGF,and IGF-2 in uterine fi-broids were 69.74%(53/76),60.53%(46/76),81.58%(62/76),and 92.11%(70/76),respectively,higher than 15.79%(12/76),10.53%(8/76),17.11%(13/76),and 30.26%(23/76)in normal uterine tissues, with statistically significant differ-ences(P<0.05).Conclusion MMP-2,MLCK,VEGF,and IGF-2 are abnormally overexpressed in uterine fibroid tissue, which is closely related to the occurrence and development of the disease.
