The Expression Level and Clinical Significance of E-cadherin and Protomucin α 3 in Esophageal Cancer Tissue
Objective To analyze E-cadherin and protomucin α The expression and significance of PCDHA3 in esopha-geal cancer tissue. Methods 90 patients with esophageal cancer were selected, and their cancer tissue and normal adjacent tis-sues were taken during surgery. The expression of PCDHA3 was detected using immunohistochemistry.Collect patient age, gender, and other data to explore the relationship between PCDHA3 expression and various clinical and pathological characteristics of pa-tients.Results The positive expression rate of E-cadherin in cancer tissue was 12.22%(11/90),and the positive expression rate of PCDHA3 was 17.78%(16/90),which was lower than 64.44%(58/90)and 47.78%(43/60)in adjacent tissues, with statistical differences(P<0.05).The expression of E-cadherin and PCDHA3 is related to TNM staging, differentiation, and lymph node metastasis in patients(P<0.05).Conclusion E-cadherin and PCDHA3 exhibit abnormally low expression in esophageal cancer tissue, and both are involved in the occurrence and development of the disease.
