The Expression of LncRNA MIAT and LASP1 Proteins in Thyroid Cancer Tissue and Their Correlation with Prognosis
Objective To investigate the expression levels of long chain non coding RNA myocardial infarction associat-ed transcripts(LncRNA MIAT),LIM,and SH3 protein 1(LASP1)proteins in thyroid cancer tissue and their relationship with prognosis. Methods 63 patients with thyroid cancer were selected, and their cancer tissue and adjacent normal tissue were col-lected.The expression levels of LncRNA MIAT and LASP1 proteins were measured and compared for analysis;Simultaneously an-alyzing the relationship between the expression of LncRNA MIAT and LASP1 proteins and the clinical pathological characteristics of thyroid cancer patients;Follow up for another 3 years to analyze the relationship between the expression of LncRNA MIAT and LASP1 proteins and the prognosis of thyroid cancer patients. Results The relative expression level of LncRNA MIAT and the positive expression rate of LASP1 protein in cancer tissue were higher than those in normal tissues adjacent to cancer, with a sta-tistical difference(P<0.05).The expression of LncRNA MIAT and LASP1 proteins is correlated with lymph node metastasis and clinical staging in thyroid cancer patients, with statistical differences(P<0.05);The 3-year survival rate of patients with high ex-pression of LncRNA MIAT and positive expression of LASP1 protein was lower than that of patients with low expression of Ln-cRNA MIAT and negative expression of LASP1 protein, with statistical differences(P<0.05).Conclusion LncoRNAMIATand LASP1 proteins exhibit high levels in thyroid cancer tissue, and their expression levels are related to clinical stage and lymph node metastasis of patients. The higher the expression level, the worse the prognosis of patients.
