The Expression of FASN,UBE2C,IGF-1 in Elderly Glioma Tissues and Their Correlation with Prognosis
Objective To investigate the expression of fatty acid synthase(FASN),ubiquitin coupled enzyme 2C(UBE2C)and insulin growth factor-1(IGF-1)in senile glioma and their relationship with prognosis. Methods 60 elderly pa-tients with glioblastoma were selected to collect cancer tissue and adjacent normal tissue. The expression of FASN,UBE2C,and IGF-1 was measured using immunohistochemistry;Analyze the relationship between the expression of FASN,UBE2C,IGF-1 and the clinical pathological characteristics of patients; The Kaplan Meier method was used to analyze the relationship between the ex-pression of FASN,UBE2C,IGF-1 and patient prognosis. Results The positive expression rates of FASN,UBE2C,and IGF-1 in cancer tissues were higher than those in adjacent tissues, with statistical significance(P<0.05);FASN,UBE2C,IGF-1 were not associated with patient gender, body mass index(BMI),or tumor site(P>0.05);FASN,UBE2C,IGF-1 are associated with tumor differentiation, histological grade, and lymph node metastasis(P<0.05);The Kaplan Meier method showed that the survival rates of FASN,UBE2C,and IGF-1 positive expression patients[37.50%(18/48),38.46%(20/52),33.33%(15/45)]were lower than those of negative expression patients[75.00%(9/12),87.50%(7/8),and 80.00%(12/15)].Conclusion FASN,UBE2C,and IGF-1 are highly expressed in cancer tissues of elderly glioma patients, and their expression is closely related to dif-ferentiation degree, histological grade, and lymph node metastasis.Positive expression patients have a worse prognosis.
