Expression of lncRNA SNHG6 in Squamous Esophageal Carcinoma and Its Clinical Significance
Objective To investigate the expression of lncRNA SNHG6 in squamous esophageal carcinoma and its clini-cal significance. Methods 96 patients with squamous esophageal carcinoma who met the criteria were included in this study. To analyze the difference of SNHG6 expression between normal esophageal tissues and cancer tissues in TCGA database. The mRNA expression level of SNHG6 in ESCC cancer tissues and adjacent tissues was detected by qPCR.The correlation between SNHG6 expression and clinical features of ESCC patients was analyzed. Results The expression level of SNHG6 in ESCC was significant-ly higher than that in normal esophageal tissues(t =12.59,P<0.0001).The expression level of SNHG6 mRNA in 96 ESCC tis-sues was significantly higher than that in adjacent tissues(t =17.93,P<0.0001).The expression level of SNHG6 in ESCC tis-sues was not related to the sex, age, smoking history and family tumor history of patients(all P>0.05),but related to TNM stage(χ2 =12.834,P<0.0001),differentiation degree(χ2 =15.886,P<0.0001)and drinking history(χ2 =4.051,P =0.044).Conclusion SNHG6 is highly expressed in ESCC,and its high expression is closely related to TNM stage, differentiation and drinking history of ESCC patients. It can be used as a molecular marker to provide a basis for early diagnosis and prognosis.
