Analysis of the Ossification Degree and Clinicopathological Characteristics of the Soft Tissue Mass in Osteosarcoma
Objective To analyze the ossification degree and clinicopathological features of a soft tissue mass(STM)in osteosarcoma. Methods Clinical data of 136 osteosarcoma patients were retrospectively analyzed, and STM was evaluated by X-ray,and the relationship with clinicopathological characteristics was analyzed. Results Of the 136 patients with osteosarcoma re-ceived X-ray examination,31 cases was non osteogenic type,22.79%(31/136),82 cases was partial osteogenic type,60.29%(82/136),23 cases was osteogenesis type,16.91%(23/136);The pathomorphological grade was grade Ⅰ in 29 patients,21.32%(29/136),Grade Ⅱ 84 cases,61.76%(84/136),Grade Ⅲ 23 cases,16.91%(23/136);Enneking stage, non osteogenic type was 32.26%(10/31),which was significantly higher than partial osteogenic type 9.76%(80.82)and osteogenic type 8.70%(2.23)(P<0.05);The chemotherapy sensitivity of non osteogenic and partial osteogenic type was 58.06%(18/31)and 59.76%(49/82),which were significantly higher than that of the osteogenic type by 30.43%(7/23)(P<0.05).Conclusion The obvious correlation between STM ossification and Enneking stage and chemotherapy sensitivity can provide a reference for sur-gery and chemotherapy treatment according to the pathological characteristics of patients.
