Treatment Choices and Prognosis of Recurrent Ovarian Granulosa Cell Tumor
Objective To investigate the clinical features of recurrent ovarian granulosa cell tumor(OGCT),analyze its prognostic factors, and to evaluate treatment options. Methods Clinical features, treatment and prognosis of 38 patients with re-current ovarian granulosa cell tumor were reviewed. Results The median recurrent time of 38 patients with recurrent OGCT was 62.5 months(range 12-308).The median survival time after recurrence was 33 months(range 9-106).After systematic therapy, the 1-year,3-year,and 5-year survival rate of the patients with recurrent ovarian granulosa cell tumor were 92%,71.9%,and 55.5%.Univariate analysis showed that the number of recurrent sites and surgery after recurrence were the influencing factors for the survival rate of patients(P<0.05).Multivariate survival analysis showed that surgery after recurrence was an influential factor for the survival rate of patients with recurrent OGCT(P<0.05).Univariate analysis of 27 patients with recurrent OGCT,who re-ceived surgery showed that the residual lesion was an independent risk factor for secondary recurrence after surgery(P<0.05).Conclusion The chemotherapy sensitivity is low for recurrent OGCT.Surgery is the main treatment for recurrent granulosa cell tumor, and complete resection as far as possible can reduce the risk of secondary recurrence and improve the survival rate.
