Comparison of Therapeutic Effects of Bilateral Approach and Lateral Approach in Laparoscopic Radical Resection of Low Rectal Cancer
Objective To compare therapeutic effects of laparoscopic radical resection of low rectal cancer through bilat-eral approach and lateral approach on patients. Methods Retrospective analysis of clinical data of 51 patients with low rectal cancer treated with bilateral laparoscopic radical surgery, included in the bilateral group. In addition, the clinical data of 51 pa-tients with low rectal cancer treated by lateral laparoscopic radical surgery were collected and included in the lateral group. The operation related indexes, gastrointestinal function recovery indexes and postoperative complications were compared between the 2 groups. Results There was no statistical significant difference between the 2 groups in operation time, hospitalization time and number of lymph node dissection(P>0.05).The intraoperative blood volume of patients in the bilateral group was lower than that in the lateral group(P<0.05).The time of feeding fluid, recovery time of bowel sounds and exhaust time of patients in the bilat-eral group were shorter than those in the lateral group(P<0.05).The total incidence of postoperative complications in the bilat-eral group was lower than that in the lateral group(P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with the lateral approach, the bilateral ap-proach can reduce the intraoperative bleeding in patients with low rectal cancer undergoing laparoscopic radical surgery, which is beneficial to the recovery of gastrointestinal function, and has fewer postoperative complications.
