Effect and Prognosis of IMRT or 3D-CRT Combined with Intracavitary Brachytherapy on Cervical Cancer
Objective To analyze the effect and prognosis of intensity-modulated radiotherapy(IMRT)or three-dimen-sional conformal radiotherapy(3 D-CRT)combined with intracavitary brachytherapy in the treatment of cervical cancer(CC).Methods 86 patients with stage Ⅱ B~Ⅲ B CC were selected as the research subjects. The above patients were divided into 2 groups by random envelope method, including IMRT group(n=43,IMRT)and 3 D-CRT group(n=43,3 D-CRT).Both groups were combined with intracavitary brachytherapy. The short-term clinical therapeutic effect, levels of tumor markers, radiation ad-verse reactions and quality of life were compared between the 2 groups. Results The short-term efficacy in IMRT group was 83.72%,which was higher than 74.42%in 3D-CRT group(P>0.05).After treatment, the levels of carbohydrate antigen 125(CA-125)and carcino-embryonic antigen(CEA)in IMRT group were significantly lower than those in 3 D-CRT group(P<0.05).The total incidence RATE of radiation complications was lower in IMRT group than that in 3D-CRT group(P<0.05).The scores of dimensions of Quality of Life Questionnaire Core-30(QLQC-30)in IMRT group after treatment were significantly higher than those in 3D-CRT group(P<0.05).Conclusion Both IMRT combined with intracavitary brachytherapy and 3 D-CRT com-bined with intracavitary brachytherapy have similar short-term efficacy in the treatment of CC,but IMRT has a stronger anti-CC effect and fewer adverse reactions, and it is more conducive to enhancing the quality of life of patients.
