Expression of Serum LTBP2 in Elderly Patients with Cervical Cancer and Its Correlation with Apoptosis
Objective To investigate the expression of serum LTBP2 in elderly patients with cervical cancer and its cor-relation with cell apoptosis. Methods 72 cases of elderly cervical cancer patients were included in the cervical cancer group, while 50 cases of elderly cervical intraepithelial neoplasia(CIN)were included in the CIN group during the same period. Then 50 healthy volunteers were selected as healthy control group.Serum LTBP2 levels were detected by enzymed-linked immunosorbent assay. The apoptotic index and LTBP2 level were analyzed. The correlation between serum LTBP2 level and apoptosis level in eld-erly patients with cervical cancer was analyzed, and the correlation between serum LTBP2 level and clinicopathological features in elderly patients with cervical cancer was analyzed,as well as the changes of serum LTBP2 level in elderly patients with cervical cancer before and after surgery. Results The apoptosis index of the cervical cancer group was lower than that of the GIN group. The level of LTBP2 in the cervical cancer group was higher than that of the healthy control group and GIN group,P<0.05.Serum LTBP2 level was positively negatived with apoptosis level in elderly patients with cervical cancer(γ=-0.824,P<0.001).Ser-um LTBP2 level was correlated with clinical stage, differentiation degree and lymph node metastasis of cervical cancer tissue in the elderly(P<0.05),but was not correlated with age, tumor diameter, depth of muscle invasion and vascular cancer thrombus(P>0.05).The serum LTBP2 level of elderly cervical cancer patients before and after surgery was compared,P<0.05.The serum LTBP2 level was the lowest 6 months after surgery,3 months after surgery,1 month after surgery, and the comparison between groups was P<0.05.Conclusion Serum LTBP2 expression is on the rise in elderly patients with cervical cancer, and is posi-tively negatived with the apoptosis index, which is related to the clinical stage, differentiation degree and lymph node metastasis of cervical cancer tissue.Clinical monitoring of serum LTBP2 level can be used to evaluate the progression of patients with cervical cancer, which has high clinical value.
