Expressions of Fas and CCR4 in Pancreatic Cancer and Relationship with Clinicopatho-logical Parameters and Prognosis
Objective To analyze the expressions of Fas and chemokine receptor 4(CCR4)in pancreatic cancer and the relationship with clinicopathological parameters and prognosis. Methods The cancer tissue specimens and the adjacent normal tissue specimens more than 4 cm away from the edge of the cancer tissue were collected from 118 patients with pancreatic cancer who received surgical treatment.Immunohistochemical staining was used to detect the expressions of Fas and CCR4 in cancer tis-sues and adjacent normal tissues of 118 cases, and the relationship of expressions of Fas and CCR4 with clinicopathological pa-rameters and prognosis in patients with pancreatic cancer was analyzed. Results The positive expression rate of Fas in pancreatic cancer tissues was significantly lower than that in adjacent normal tissues(P<0.05),while the positive expression rate of CCR4 was significantly higher than that in adjacent normal tissues(P<0.05).Fas expression was related to differentiation degree of pancreatic cancer(P=0.005)and lymph node metastasis(P=0.011),but was not associated with gender, age, tumor location, tumor size,TNM staging and vascular invasion(all P>0.05).CCR4 expression was associated with TNM staging(P=0.006)and lymph node metastasis(P=0.027),but was not related to gender, age, tumor location, tumor size, degree of differentiation and vascular invasion(all P>0.05).The overall survival rate of Fas positive expression group was significantly higher than that of Fas negative expression group(P<0.05),and the overall survival rate of CCR4 positive expression group was significantly lower than that of CCR4 negative expression group(P<0.05).Lymph node metastasis(P=0.013),Fas expression(P=0.018),and CCR4 expression(P=0.022)were independent risk factors affecting the prognosis in patients with pancreatic cancer. Conclusion The low expression of Fas and the high expression of CCR4 may be related to the occurrence and development of pancreatic canc-er,and can be used as important indicators to evaluate the prognosis of pancreatic cancer.
