Analysis of High Risk Factors for Prognosis of Type 2 Diabetes Patients with Thyroid Cancer
Objective To explore the prognostic factors of type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)patients with thyroid canc-er.Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 98 patients with T2DM combined with thyroid canc-er.All patients underwent surgery and were followed up for 1 year after surgery, and their survival and mortality rates were calcu-lated;Assign surviving patients to a good prognosis group, and assign deceased patients to a poor prognosis group.Collect data on age, gender, and other factors that affect the prognosis of T2DM patients with thyroid cancer. Results Among the 98 T2DM pa-tients with thyroid cancer,75 survived with a survival rate of 76.53%(75/98)and 23 died with a mortality rate of 23.47%(23/98);Univariate analysis showed that age, course of diabetes, lymph node metastasis, and clinical stage were significantly related to the prognosis of T2DM patients with thyroid cancer(P<0.05);Logistic regression analysis showed that age>60 years, duration of diabetes>5 years, lymph node metastasis, and stage Ⅲ~Ⅳ were independent risk factors for poor prognosis of T2DM patients with thyroid cancer(P<0.05).Conclusion Age>60 years, course of diabetes>5 years, lymph node metastasis, and stage Ⅲ~Ⅳ are the factors that affect the prognosis of T2DM patients with thyroid cancer, which should be paid more attention to clinically.
