The Effect of Zhengyuan Capsule on Hematopoietic and Immune Reconstitution in Pa-tients After Autologous Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation
Objective To investigate the effect of Zhengyuan capsule on hematopoietic and immune reconstitution in pa-tients after autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.Methods A total of 40 patients who received autologous stem cell transplantation were selected and randomly divided into 2 groups,20 patients in each group.Both of the 2 groups were given stand-ard pretreatment chemotherapy(BEAM/BECA),stem cell transfusion and support treatments.The patients in the treatment group took Zhengyuan capsule orally the next day after stem cell transfusion(4 capsules/time,3 times/day,for 8 weeks),while the pa-tients in the control group did not take the drug.Complete blood count(WBC,HGB,PLT)and T lymphocyte subsets analysis(CD3,CD4,CD4/CD8)were detected before and after treatment in the 2 groups.Results Before treatment,there was no signifi-cant difference in blood cell counts(WBC,HGB,PLT)and T lymphocyte subsets(CD3+,CD4+,CD4+/CD8+)(P＞0.05).After treatment,the recovery time of WBC and PLT in treatment group was significantly lower than that in control group(P＜0.05).In lymphocyte subsets analysis,CD3+cells,CD4+cells and CD4+/CD8+ratio in treatment group were significantly higher than those in control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion Zhengyuan capsule is beneficial to hematopoietic and immune recon-struction as well as to reduce the adverse events after autologous stem cell transplantation.Zhengyuan capsule is worthy for exten-ding in clinic.
