The Therapeutic Effect and Safety of Adaptive Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy for Locally Advanced Cervical Cancer
Objective To explore the therapeutic effect and incidence of adverse reactions of adaptive intensity modula-ted radiotherapy(ART)on locally advanced cervical cancer. Methods 80 locally advanced cervical cancer patients were select-ed and randomly divided into the control group(conventional radiotherapy,40 cases)and the intervention group(ART,40 cases)by drawing lots. After treatment, the disease control rate, objective response rate, tumor marker level, adverse reaction rate, organ threatening dosimetry level, and quality of life score of the 2 groups were compared. Results Compared with the control group, the intervention group had a higher disease control rate(95.00%)and a higher objective response rate(85.00%)(P<0.05).Compared with the control group, the intervention group had significantly lower serum carcinoembryonic antigen levels and serum squamous cell carcinoma antigen levels after treatment(P<0.05).The incidence of various adverse reactions in the intervention group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05),and the dosage levels of organs at risk(bladder, small intestine,rec-tum)treated in the intervention group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The quality of life scores evaluated by the intervention group after treatment were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of ART in the treatment of locally advanced cervical cancer patients has a significant effect, with good control of disease progression. It can effectively reduce the levels of tumor markers in the serum, alleviate the condition, reduce adverse reactions, and improve their quality of life.It is worth promoting and applying.
