Objective To investigate the effect of hospice care mode on uncomfortable symptoms and quality of life in patients with cancer at the end of life.Methods 70 patients with end-stage cancer were randomly divided into the control group(n=35)and the observation group(n=35).The control group was given simple control of uncomfortable symptoms,and the ob-servation group was treated with comfortable nursing and psychological comfort on the basis of the control group.The analgesic effect,psychological evaluation and quality of life were compared between the 2 groups before and after treatment.Results The effective rate of analgesia in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05),the score of psychological anxiety was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05),and the score of quality of life was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The hospice care model can effectively control the uncomfortable symptoms of cancer patients at the end of their lives and significantly improve their quality of life.It is a diagnosis and treatment model with humanistic charac-teristics worthy of promotion.
