Hp Infection and Expressions of Survivin and MMP-2 in Gastric Cancer and Their Correlation
Objective To study Helicobacter pylori(Hp)infection and expressions of survivin and matrix metalloprotei-nase-2(MMP-2)in gastric cancer, and their correlation. Methods 120 patients with gastric cancer were selected as the research subjects. The expressions of survivin and MMP-2 in cancer tissues and adjacent tissues were detected by immunohistochemical staining, and their relationship with clinicopathological characteristics was analyzed.Hp infection was detected. The pathological characteristics and expressions of survivin and MMP-2 in gastric cancer patients with different infection status were compared. The relationship between Hp infection and expressions of survivin and MMP-2 was analyzed by Spearman method. Results The posi-tive expression rates of survivin and MMP-2 in gastric cancer tissues were 76.67%and 73.33%,significantly higher than those in adjacent tissues(16.67%and 13.33%)(P<0.05).The expressions of survivin and MMP-2 were related to TNM staging, tumor differentiation degree, tumor invasion depth and lymph node metastasis(P<0.05),but not related to age, gender or tumor diameter(P>0.05).There were 65 Hp positive cases and 55 negative cases. The incidence of low-moderate differentiation, tumor invasion depth and incidence of lymph node metastasis in Hp-positive group were higher than those in Hp-negative group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference between the two groups in age, gender,TNM staging,or tumor diameter(P>0.05).The positive expression rates of survivin and MMP-2 in Hp-positive group were 87.69%and 83.08%,significantly higher than those in Hp-negative group(63.64%and 61.82%)(P<0.05).Spearman correlation analysis found that Hp infection was posi-tively correlated with expressions of survivin and MMP-2(γ=0.357,0.349,P<0.05).Conclusion The expressions of survivin and MMP-2 are related to the occurrence of gastric cancer.Hp infection can increase the expressions of survivin and MMP-2 in gastric cancer tissues.
